Why it exists
Most information about shockwave therapy falls into two piles. One is marketing: miracle language, guaranteed results, before-and-afters with no context. The other is clinical literature most people can't easily read. Neither helps a runner in North Liberty decide what to do about heel pain that's been there since spring.
This site tries to sit in between: plain explanations of what the treatment is, what the research does and doesn't show, which conditions it's typically considered for, and what a real evaluation involves.
What it will not do
- Promise outcomes, cures or guarantees
- Publish invented patient stories, reviews or results
- Imply a North Liberty clinic address that doesn't exist
- State insurance coverage or pricing we haven't been given
- Present regulatory clearance details as broader than they are
- Make claims about treating children or replace medical advice
How content is produced
Pages are written to answer a specific question, cite research where it exists, name limitations where they matter, and carry a review date. Outcome data appears only when it is verified clinic data. Where a section is reserved for content we don't have yet — photography, video, verified cases — it says so instead of being filled with something invented.
Relationship to the clinic
This resource is powered by Total Health Chiropractic, 2201 E. Grantview Dr. #202, Coralville, Iowa. Clinical decisions — including whether you are a candidate for SoftWave — are made at the clinic during an in-person evaluation, not on this website.
