About Dr. Hammes

Dr. Dillon Hammes is a licensed chiropractor and the founder of Total Health Chiropractic, where he serves Coralville, Iowa City, North Liberty, Tiffin, Solon and beyond. His mission is to change how people view and manage their health, combining chiropractic techniques with physiotherapy, physical rehabilitation and natural supplements. His focus is not just pain relief — it's helping people live healthier, more vibrant lives.

Personal journey to chiropractic

Dr. Hammes first experienced chiropractic care at 16 after a shoulder injury from high-school football and years of chronic headaches. After a few adjustments, his shoulder improved and his headaches disappeared. A back injury in 2007 brought him back to care and deepened his commitment to the profession. He enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic and immersed himself in the study of how structure and function influence the body's ability to heal.

Dr. Hammes believes health is more than the absence of pain — it's about living a vibrant life. Through programs like DREAM (Diet, Rest, Exercise, Alignment, Mindset) and services that support these areas, he empowers patients to live cleaner, healthier lives. Personal life

Dr. Hammes is a proud father of four — daughters Korrah, Lola and Violet, and son Everett — and is married to his wife, Alissa. They enjoy time with their two Wheaten Terriers, Atlas and Athena. He stays active through exercise, reading and cooking (especially grilling), and strives to practice the wellness principles he teaches.
