Sourcing standards
- Statements about treatment effects reference published research — systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials where available — rather than manufacturer marketing language.
- Limitations are stated alongside findings: sample size, heterogeneity between shockwave devices and protocols, follow-up length and risk of bias.
- Where evidence is mixed, we say it is mixed. Where evidence is thin, we say it is thin. A condition page that softens this is a worse page.
Clinical review
Health content is intended for review by clinical staff at Total Health Chiropractic. Each health page displays the reviewer role and review date so you can see how current it is. Review dates are not decorative — a page whose date is stale should be treated as stale.
Claims we do not make
- Cures, guarantees, or promises of a specific outcome or timeline
- Success-rate percentages not drawn from a cited source or verified clinic data
- Regulatory clearance statements broader than the specific device and indication
- Claims about treating children or adolescents
- Insurance coverage or pricing not supplied by the clinic
- Superiority over named alternative treatments without cited comparative evidence
Patient outcomes and reviews
No invented testimonials, reviews, ratings or before-and-after results appear on this site. Outcome content is published only when it comes from verified clinic data, presented with context and without implying that any individual result predicts yours.
Placeholders instead of fabrication
Where a page would benefit from something we don't have — clinic photography, provider video, verified cases, published pricing — the space is marked as awaiting real content rather than filled with stock imagery or invented detail.
Corrections
If something here is inaccurate, outdated or misleading, contact the clinic at (319) 338-7025. Corrections are made to the page itself and the review date updated.
Not medical advice
Everything on this site is general education. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation, and not a substitute for in-person evaluation by a qualified clinician. Only an examination can determine whether SoftWave therapy is appropriate for you.
